I am a mum of 2 boys (aged 16 and 13) and wife to a very patient and funny man. We’ve been married for more than 20 years and live in Kent.
I was diagnosed with MS in 2018 and now I am a full time wheelchair user. I can stand but moving my feet is not automatic.
MS has affected my speech badly- I have to pause after each word so I tend not to make phone calls nor have long conversations. I find that difficult- my tendency is to chat and joke. Put people at ease. Be likeable and non-confrontational. I guess this blog is an alternative outlet!
Why blog?
As well as being an outlet (and keeping me occupied) I wanted to share my experiences- about all sorts of things- as much as I can. I’m certainly not an MS expert. I am more than MS but it doesn’t always feel that way. I want to learn from others as well. I’ll muse about getting around, travel, living in a house with 2 floors, staying positive as much as possible, being an important member of the family.
